The Bahamas Day 1 and 2

Day 1

Oh did this day but start out rocky! We arrived at the airport in timely fashion  ( so early that our flight wasn't even on the departure screen). The weather was pretty bad the night before but the weather reports said it was to be over before 3 am. Oh how that was a lie. Our flight was delayed a whopping 70 minutes. But that's not the kicker. It was the take off that made it a rocky morning. See, I have flown for years. Flying only bothers me a tad bit. Turbulence on the other hand scares the shit out of me. We took off in stormy weather and the turbulence was BAD. I am pretty sure my face turned ghost white at one point because I was positive the plane was going to crash   Thankfully once we got above the storm the flight was easy. I slept the whole way. Poor Anthony did not sleep but an hour the night before and he does not sleep well on planes. So he was pretty tired.

We landed in Charlotte fully expecting to miss our connecting flight to Nassau but to our surprise not only did we make it, our bags did too!! The flight to Nassau was short and sweet.

We landed in Nassau and met up with the rest of the crew that is working the same gig Anthony is. They are all such interesting yet really funny people. That kept giving Anthony shit bc he has never been the girlfriend type of guy, and here is he bringing me along AND staying an extra 2 nights here so we can spend some time together.

After checking into the hotel, Anthony went straight to work and I didnt expect to see him till later that evening after rehearsal. So I took the time it unpack, and hit up this massive resort!! I layed out by the pool for a couple hours, then tried find my way back to the room (which took a little over an hour bc I got lost!). I explored the marina a little as well. I ended the night with a game of tetris and a lights out at 2 AM when anthony finally got back!!

Day 2

Woke up a little later than I'd like. Got up and we went to the market to grab some waters and snacks. Stuff here is STUPID expensive so snacks are a good way of us saving some mula. Anthony had a call back time of 12 so we split an appetizer for a mini lunch and he was off to work and I was off to the pool.

I went between the pool and beach several times. I just couldn't get enough of either. I figured since I didn't get much of a tan the day before I wouldn't apply as much sun block ( except for me face) and BOY was I wrong to do that. It was 7 hours after being off the beach and I was BURNT!!! And in weird places to top it off.

The evening was the night of the big gig Anthony had to come out here and work. It was Match Box 20. They were GREAT!! I got to sit backstage and really enjoyed it.  I had this overwhelming feeling of...... I can't put it into words. I guess it was happiness, excitement, jubilance. I don't know.  See in August i got this new tattoo that says " Live for the moments you can't put into words". Since that it seems to be happening to me more and more often. Not just with Anthony but with most aspects of life. I am truly One happy individual.  And I have a slew of people that are to be the cause of my happiness.

Easter Weekend

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter Weekend with friends and Family. We had Good Friday off from work and the weather down here was absolutely amazing. I spent majority of the weekend just relaxing and catching up on sleep. On Friday I got to spend some time with Jen. She is Anthony s roommates girlfriend. Since we are both at the house alot, we have really gotten to know each other. It was nice to spend some time with her without the boys around.

Easter Sunday was nice. I had made Anthony an Easter basket since it was our first Easter together. He had to go work a big church event, so I went to church with my family ( My little brother came to town!) and my Grandmother. After Church, Mom and I cooked Easter Lunch  for everyone. It is really nice how close my mom and I have become over the last couple months. Anthony came over for lunch after his gig got done. So he got to meet my Grandmother for the first time. Then it was off to his parents house to meet some more extended family of his. I am really lucky that both of our families live close enough  for us to be able to see them both on special occasions or holidays.  After leaving his parents house we had planned on meeting up with his roommate to go see American Reunion, but he had another flight lesson so Anthony and I went  to see it a little earlier than planned.  Afterwards, we went to Wendy's where I could indulge on my Frosty that I had given up for Lent. It was yummy!!!

All and all it was a great weekend. But not its back to the daily grind of the week. This week is big because I am starting to pack for my Bahamas vacation next week! I keep telling people that this will be the longest week known to man because I am so excited and just ready for the trip to be here!!

That is really it!

Have a great day.

Gorgeous weather

The weather in Houston for the past several days has been absolutely glorious. It made for an exciting and out-door filled weekend.

Saturday: Granted I did have to work for almost 7 hours. I am thankful for the fact that it was outside. We had two baseball games scheduled. So, I planned accordingly for the most part. I brought my lawn chair, charged my IPad, and prepared to get some sun. What I did not prepare for was HOW much sun I would get in such a short period of time. I burnt the tops of my thighs and now have a lovely shorts tan line. Granted the games ran a little long, by 6 I was more than ready to get going.

                                                    Opps :)

But it was such a pretty day that I couldn't not get some sun!
The dinner portion of Saturday night was entertaining to say the least. I ended up going to dinner to help celebrate a friend passing her graduate school comps. But the evening ended up being me sitting on the far inside of a booth, trying to hide my face out of embarrassment of several drunk people with us. It was so bad that the friend who we were celebrating, we had to go back and apologize to the waiter, AND the manager. The managers response was " Yes, I heard about your table"

Sunday afternoon was quite the perfect day! My roommate and I decided to take a trip to College Station so that we could eat at Rosa's Tacos. I absolutely LOVE Rosa's. Probably more for the college memories of Tuesday night dinner there, rather than the food actually being that great.

I pretty much put the queso on all of it, so its unhealthy to boot

After our delicious meal, we drove home a different route. The entire trip was absolutely beautiful. The sun was shining and the bluebonnets were out and a bloom. That is one of the nice things that about living in the "country" rather than in a big city. Once back at home, we changed into swim suits and layed out by the pool. Got to listen to a very intelluctal conversations on tattoos by a group of 4 people. The oldest being around 45 and we think the youngest was 19. So it was interesting to hear their views and how the conversation went. Needless to say, when we left, I am sure I was 10 points dumber on the IQ scale though.

The pool looked so inviting, but I didn't get it

The evening ended with a trip to Walmart and a decent nights rest!! The good part...the boyfriend comes home tonight!!
