Growing up

I love making list and checking things off. It is one of my ways of staying organized and feeling like things get accomplished. But I have noticed that lately, I don't feel like I am setting any goals for the long term but more trying to get out of where I am. So I decided to re visit my "Bucket List" and add some things to it.

1. Graduate from TCU with my Bachelors
2.  Start taking more photos with A's Digital SLR camera
3. Get Engaged and marry the man of my dreams
4. Start a family
5. Run a Half Marathon (Started training for a 10K)
6. Be comfortable with my body
7. Pay off my Credit Card Debit
8. Pay off my Student Loan
9. Visit all 50 States (Check here for my progress)
10. Learn to cook
11. Learn to Wake Board
12. Swim with Dolphins
13. Go white water rafting
14. Travel to Italy
15. Buy a new car
16. Learn to eat for my body, not to just eat
17. Run 1 more half marathon and enjoy it
18.Find a Career that I enjoy (This really should be #1 right now. I am struggling big time with this) - I am looking into recruiting. Haven't had too  much success though.
19. Spend my 30th birthday or Christmas in the snow somewhere I have never been before
20. Host more things at our house
21. Enjoy Life

Now, I know that this is an every changing list, but at the moment these are some of the things I am looking forward to accomplishing in the next several years.

I have noticed that I am starting to shift my wants/needs for when A and I start a family and what type of mother that I want to be. It is so funny how up to one year ago, I never thought about things like that. I now notice how my friends take care of their kids, the things they do, and just their overall motherly ways. I am not any where near starting a family. But I can't help but start wondering about those things.  Am I alone on this? Or does this happen to women at some point in their lives?

When was the last time you looked at your bucket list? Have you accomplished anything off of it recently?

  1. I need to do this. In fact, I am going to start working on it today.

Also, I don't think it is weird to think about what kind of mother you will be.
